Communication and Management Training

The Communication and Management Training Department supports the mission of the MISD through a range of services which:

• improve the management skills of school leaders;

• inform the public about issues in education;

• prepare school staff for leadership roles in education;

• provide survey research assistance for school improvement and accreditation;

• focus media attention on the good news in public education; and,

• help program facilitators obtain State Board - Continuing Education Units (SB-CEUs) for their programs.

Much of our work serves the communication needs of MISD programs, schools and departments.  These include:

• internal publication design and production;

• community relations;

• special event planning;

• school improvement support; and,

• news media relations and press releases.
