• Know how to operate all of your
equipment before your video conference begins. This includes your
Codec, Video Projector and wireless Microphones.
• Have technical help standing by.
• Have your party’s telephone number in case problems arise.
• Do a test call 30 - 45 minutes before your event with someone outside of your network
to verify incoming and outgoing audio and video.
• Know how to mute your codec with the remote. You will most likely
be asked to do this throughout the program.
• Don’t assume the equipment will work just because you have used it
a month ago. Things do go wrong and electronics do fail. It is
better to find out before you have a classroom full of disappointed
students waiting to go on a virtual field trip.
