OVERVIEW AND QUALIFICATIONS
MISD is currently seeking applicants for
guest teachers and
paraprofessionals to work in special education classrooms.
Requirements for Substitute (Guest)
Teacher Staff:
- Complete an MISD employment
application.
- Have a valid or expired teaching
certificate or completion of 90 semester hours of
satisfactory (2.0 minimum GPA) college credit consolidated
at one four-year college or university which is accredited
by either a regional accrediting agency or by the National
Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE)
(if
applicable).
- Experience with Special Education
preferred.
- Provide proof of state and
federal fingerprinting (if applicable).
Requirements for Substitute (Guest)
Paraprofessional Staff:
- Complete an MISD employment application.
- Minimum of two (2) years community
college credit preferred or successful
completion of ETS or Work Keys.
- Experience with Special Education
preferred.
