    Join us at our innovative Maker Space for an exciting opportunity to expand your teaching toolkit and empower your students with the wonders of coding! This session will focus on using coding with Micro:bits in the classroom. Check out the curriculum materials using the MakeCode and Python editors and more, get a quick start, and get design ideas for your own lessons for classroom implementation. Participants will leave the session with a Maker resource to support the learning.

    Introducing... Media Meetups! Please join us for our first Spring Media Meetup! During this meetup, you will have the opportunity to receive updates on Follett, Tumblebooks, and other resources, collaborate and network with others, ask questions, and learn more about available resources. This event is open to anyone in a building or district level media role. I'm looking forward to connecting with all of you and sharing some great resources!

    Join us in the MISD Maker Space and level up your Micro:bit knowledge. This workshop is perfect for those who attended Making with Micro:bits or have a basic understanding of the Micro:bit and how it works. We will be building a crane out of Strawbees and programming the Micro:bit to move the crane up and down. Participants will leave the session with a Maker resource to support the learning.

    This event is scheduled for 8:30am to - 3:00pm

    Macomb County Assistive Technology (AT) leaders will learn from Dr. Ray Heipp about setting environments up for ongoing access to supports and AT trialing, sensory additions to the school community, and possible funding sources for AT tools. In addition, district teams will analyze available data from QIAT, Follett, and PowerSchool Special Ed to develop their district AT Plan for 2024-2025. Join the communAT!

    This event is scheduled for 8:30am to - 6:30pm

    Participants will have 14 months to complete four self-paced online courses and four digital artifacts to support their blended learning growth. Courses open June 1, 2024 and close August, 2025. Start anytime and work at your own pace, however, to get the most out of this year's networking opportunities, please register by August 15, 2024. In addition to coursework support from the MISD IT Consultants and MADE Instructors, participants will have opportunities to network with fellow educators during four after-school sessions (dates listed below). This program is FREE.
