Special Education Program Monitoring

The Macomb Intermediate School District (MISD), in collaboration with the local districts and public school academies, monitors compliance as it pertains to both State and Federal regulations. For the past decade, the Michigan Department of Education employed a system called the Continuous Improvement Monitoring System (CIMS) to assist in this monitoring process, the development of corrective action plans, implementation and evaluation.  The program will be replaced this year with a new system called Catamaran which will have its debut in November 2015.  Catamaran is the name of the new data and resource portal from the Office of Special Education (OSE).
