Event Description

Audience: 6-12 Grade ELA Teachers, Literacy Coaches and Administrators interested in refreshing the ELA practice in their classrooms


Are you ready to refresh your ELA instruction?


This 3-day series invites participants to consider new ways to get students to engage in content, texts, and with their peers in meaningful ways. Learn how to bring together new, research-based ideas with tried-and-true instructional techniques.

Some of the topics we will explore include:

*Measuring the impact of our teaching

*Improving student motivation

*Creating opportunities for student interaction

*Having a clear skills-based focus

*Using small groups

*Supporting student independence


No matter what curriculum a district uses, participants will find ways to infuse the ideas from this series into their teaching. Whether you've been teaching for one year or 20 years, come together to share ideas, troubleshoot challenges, and lave with a renewed sense of empowerment!
