    Spend an afternoon exploring the Little Inventors project and learning about the implementation expectations and timeline. Hosts STEM Consultant Mark Muzzin and ELA Consultant Lisa Rivard will introduce the project with conversation and activities about the essential benefits of infusing STEM education into literacy instruction for elementary students. Participants are expected to implement the Wild Ideas! Forest Floors to Ocean Shores Project in the Winter/Spring of 2026.

    This event is scheduled for 8:30am to - 3:00pm

    Build your STEM culture one book at a time. This workshop will explore how to integrate select children's literature titles with STEM concepts and activities in the 5th grade classroom. Engage in four-unit curriculum full of inventing, engineering, and design thinking! Each book has a corresponding STEM challenge that gently scaffolds for both the teacher and student. Aligned with NGSS, ISTE, SEL and ELA standards - this workshop is approachable and engaging.
