- In the WYSIWYG editor, type and select the content you want to have as the text for the link.
- In the WYSIWYG tool bar, click on the link icon.
- In the dialog box, select Internal to link to a file or web page located within the site.
- Click on the icon opposite Link to select the pdf document or web page to link to.
- Select the file and click Confirm.
- For a PDF file, make the target New Window. For an internal web page, make the target Same Window.
- ClickInsert.
- Use your browser to locate the site you will be linking to in a separate tab.
- In the WYSIWYG editor, type and select the content you want to have as the text for the link.
- In the dialog box, select External to link to an external site.
- Copy and paste the link from the external site you have found in step 1 to the Link box.
- Change the target to New Window and click the Insert button.
Another option is to type (or paste) the full URL into the text in the content window and hit the space bar. The URL will automatically turn into a link.
One option is to type an email address in the WYSIWYG editor and hit the space bar. The email address will automatically turn into an email link.
A second option is to:
- Type a name.
- Select the name.
- Choose the Link button and External link.
- In the link box type mailto: followed by the email address.
- Click Insert.
When adding an email address as a link, make sure to get rid of the http:// in the link box.
Select the link and click the remove link button.
